Anyone who wants to peek at a pair of river otters from the safety of their own home can head online before the duo is released from rehab in Metchosin.

The BC SPCA Wild Animal Rehabilitation Centre is using its critter cam to showcase two orphaned river otters that arrived in the summer. The pair is making 香蕉视频直播渇antastic progress香蕉视频直播� and getting ready to return to life in the wild, the agency said on social media.

River otters typically stay with their moms for about a year, making them long-term patients at rehabilitation centres as they learn the skills they need to survive.

In the wild, residents are advised to leave wildlife in general alone but to avoid river otters in particular. Wildlife experts say river otters can be quite aggressive, especially if they are in a pack and are protecting their young.

Encounters this year between otters and pets at Island View Beach prompted Wild ARC to remind dog owners to practise "emergency recall香蕉视频直播� with their animals, to avoid dangerous interactions.

The Wild ARC critter cam moves around enclosures, with the otter pair an active show these days as they practise hunting and swimming.
