Two mountain bikers with roots in Vernon are launching a unique new venture.
Called Bookyrslf, the dynamic platform is designed to "reinvent how athletes and skilled professionals monetize their expertise."
Created by Brett Rheeder and Brayden Barrett-Hay, who both reside in Vernon, the duo created Bookyrslf to help bridge the gap between talented individuals and enthusiastic learners by "providing an easy, intuitive space where anyone can host and book experiences."
"As athletes, we often find ourselves at the mercy of sponsorship contracts which can sometimes be unpredictable from year to year," said Rheeder. "We created Bookyrslf not just as a solution for mountain bike athletes, but for people across various disciplines who now have a platform to monetize their skills."
Barrett-Hay added that "whether it's a musician teaching guitar lessons or a crafts expert leading a knitting workshop, our platform empowers all kinds of passionate experts to connect with their community and turn their knowledge into bookable, rewarding experiences."
Unlike typical social media interactions, Bookyrslf empowers people to invite their followers into real-life activities, making the leap from likes and views to genuine, shared experiences. This platform turns every follower into a potential participant, transforming how people connect with those they admire online.
