For the better part of two years, the Kelly Scott rink set the standard for ·É´Ç³¾±ð²ÔÏ㽶ÊÓƵֱ²¥™s curling all across Canada.

On Thursday morning in Kelowna, the exceptional accomplishments of the local curlers were officially acknowledged with their induction into the Central Okanagan Sports Hall of Fame.

One of five new inductees enshrined for 2016, the Scott crew captured the Canadian ·É´Ç³¾±ð²ÔÏ㽶ÊÓƵֱ²¥™s curling titles in both 2006 and 2007, and the world ·É´Ç³¾±ð²ÔÏ㽶ÊÓƵֱ²¥™s curling championship in Japan in 2007.

Scott was joined on the team by third Jeanna Schraeder, second Sasha Carter, lead Renee Simons, fifth-player Michelle Allen and coach Gerry Richard.

Scott said a key to her ³Ù±ð²¹³¾Ï㽶ÊÓƵֱ²¥™s success was the compatibility of all the people ¾±²Ô±¹´Ç±ô±¹±ð»åÏ㽶ÊÓƵֱ²¥”a²Ô»å ideal mix of calmness, intensity, humour and competitiveness.

Ï㽶ÊÓƵֱ²¥Àá³Ù was a really neat blend of ±è±ð°ù²õ´Ç²Ô²¹±ô¾±³Ù¾±±ð²õ,Ï㽶ÊÓƵֱ²¥ said Scott.

Ï㽶ÊÓƵֱ²¥œA team made up of only four to six players, ¾±³ÙÏ㽶ÊÓƵֱ²¥™s so crucial that each area is covered with that mix of personalities. We were lucky to have that.

Ï㽶ÊÓƵֱ²¥Àá³Ù was a great time, I think some of the best times of all of our lives on our ³Ù±ð²¹³¾,Ï㽶ÊÓƵֱ²¥ Scott added.

Ï㽶ÊÓƵֱ²¥Àá³ÙÏ㽶ÊÓƵֱ²¥™s not all glory, ²â´Ç³ÜÏ㽶ÊÓƵֱ²¥™v±ð got to put into the hard work to get the good moments out of it, but it was definitely worth it for ³Ü²õ.Ï㽶ÊÓƵֱ²¥

Horn said without the support of many people and groups over the years, the success he and the other inductees enjoyed ·É´Ç³Ü±ô»å²ÔÏ㽶ÊÓƵֱ²¥™t have been possible.

Ï㽶ÊÓƵֱ²¥Àá³ÙÏ㽶ÊÓƵֱ²¥™s community, ¾±³ÙÏ㽶ÊÓƵֱ²¥™s sports organizations, ¾±³ÙÏ㽶ÊÓƵֱ²¥™s the high ²õ³¦³ó´Ç´Ç±ô²õ,Ï㽶ÊÓƵֱ²¥ said Horn. Ï㽶ÊÓƵֱ²¥œW¾±³Ù³ó´Ç³Ü³Ù that community we ·É±ð°ù±ð²ÔÏ㽶ÊÓƵֱ²¥™t able to accomplish the things we did.
