Joey Daccord made 25 saves for his second shutout of the season, leading the visiting Seattle Kraken to a convincing 5-0 win over the Vancouver Canucks in NHL action Wednesday night at Rogers Arena.
Chandler Stephenson, Michael Eyssimont, Shane Wright, Andre Burakovsky and Adam Larsson scored for the Kraken (32-38-6). Thatcher Demko stopped 14 shots and took the loss for Vancouver (34-28-13).

With the loss, the Canucks are now eight points back of the Minnesota Wild and St. Louis Blues, who currently occupy with the two wildcard spots in the Western Conference. Vancouver, with seven games left to play, has a game in hand on both the Wild and the Blues. The Kraken have already been eliminated from playoff contention.
Seattle opened the at 16:42 of the first period when Eyssimont stole the puck at centre ice, broke in and beat Demko between the legs along the ice.
Stephenson made it 2-0 midway through the second, snapping a shot high over the catching glove of Demko. At the 16:00 mark, Wright fired home a shot that also beat Demko high to the glove side to give the Kraken a three-goal lead.
In the third, Burakovsky converted a feed from Jared McCann at 8:55 to up the margin to 4-0.
With 3:36 to play, Larsson scored into an empty net to round out the scoring.
Vancouver hosts the Anaheim Ducks Saturday (1 p.m.) and then the Vegas Golden Knights visit on Sunday (7 p.m.).
