The Ki-Low-Na Friendship Society is hosting an event in downtown Kelowna to celebrate National Aboriginal Day today.
To accommodate the event, Leon Avenue from Pandosy Street to Ellis Street will be closed until 8:30 p.m.
Intersections along Leon Avenue will not be affected.
Each year on June 21, the Ki-Low-Na Friendship society celebrates National Aboriginal Day, a celebration of First Nations culture and heritage, and the valuable contributions it has made to Canadian society.
Activities include: business lunch (by donation), mini pow-wow, music, storytelling, tipi, childrensÏ㽶ÊÓƵֱ²¥™ activities, traditional feast, and much more.
Activities are located along Leon Ave.
There will be a minor re-routing of transit route #97 Okanagan off of Leon Avenue for the duration of eventÏ㽶ÊÓƵֱ²¥™s road closure. Watch for alerts and find more information at .
