Small rubber ducks will soon make their appearance around Summerland Secondary School.
Juliane Braren of Twisted Thrifters in Summerland said two high school boys stopped at the thrift store on Jan. 14 and purchased more than 100 small plastic ducks for $30.
When she asked them why they were purchasing the items, they told her they planned to hide the ducks around the school for their classmates to find.
Braren said ducking, or hiding the plastic or rubber ducks, is a trend among the Jeep-owning community, where people will place a rubber duck on another owner香蕉视频直播檚 Jeep. Since then, the concept has spread, with ducks being hidden in other locations as well.
Braren said younger students have also purchased the ducks to hide in their schools. However, the recent purchase by the two high school boys caught her attention because of how many of the ducks were purchased.
