A mountain biker riding an electric bike had a rude awakening on Kelowna香蕉视频直播檚 Crawford Mountain bike trails on Sunday afternoon.

The biker was injured after catapulting off his bike on one of the area香蕉视频直播檚 mountain bike trails.

Emergency crews responded to the Myra Bellevue Provincial Park parking lot to a call of an injured mountain biker just after noon on Sunday.

The initial fire crews that arrived on scene from the Mission fire hall hiked about two kilometres to find the biker, who according to witnesses had been knocked out after flying over the handle-bars.

香蕉视频直播淗e had a bit of a wreck up there,香蕉视频直播� said platoon captain Tim Light of the Kelowna Fire Department. 香蕉视频直播淗e was riding one of these electric bikes and was going too fast. He had some rib pain, some abdominal pain and a concussion.香蕉视频直播�

Once fire crews located the biker, who was back up and walking, they stopped him and checked him out. The KFD香蕉视频直播檚 Gator ATV unit then arrived up the trail and transported the man down to the parking lot.

Light said it wasn香蕉视频直播檛 the first time they had rescued a mountain biker from the area but it香蕉视频直播檚 not something they do every day.

Meanwhile, he said the weekend has been pretty busy for the department, mostly with first responder calls and medical emergencies in downtown Kelowna.
