West Kelowna Warriors to lock playoff seeding in final regular season weekend

The West Kelowna Warriors are in prime position going into the last weekend of the BCHL regular season.

After two wins in the Kootenays last weekend, the Warriors sit second in the Interior Conference with a record of 31-10-11-0. However, their position going into the playoffs isn香蕉视频直播檛 locked in yet, as Salmon Arm still has a chance to leapfrog them in the standings. When the playoffs begin, the Warriors will play with Merritt or Cranbrook.

On Mar. 29, the Warriors play their last home game of the regular season as they welcome the Powell River Kings to town. Going into the weekend, the Kings are still fighting for the last playoff spot in the Coastal Conference.

Friday night香蕉视频直播檚 contest is also fan appreciation night at Royal LePage Place as giveaways will be taking place throughout the night. The Warriors will be receiving their team awards after the game as well. Puck drop is at 7 p.m.

After taking Saturday off, the Warriors will finish the regular season on Sunday by travelling down Highway 97 for an afternoon affair against the Penticton Vees at the South Okanagan Events Centre. Game time is at 2 p.m. as the top of the Interior clash one last time before the playoffs begin.

The BCHL playoffs begin in April.

Shutting the door

Warriors goaltender Rorke Applebee was recognized by the BCHL for this outstanding weekend in the Kootenays road trip. Applebee was named the league香蕉视频直播檚 third star of the week after going 2-0, allowing just two goals and posting a .965 save percentage.
