Undefeated two weeks into the season, the Okanagan Sun are looking to improve to 3-0 on Saturday, Aug. 3 against the Chilliwack Valley Huskers.
Through two games, the Sun have two come-from-behind wins and are outscoring their opponents 53-39.
Chilliwack is also undefeated on the year at 1-0 and is coming off a bye-week. In their one game this season, they crushed the Kamloops Broncos 51-7.
On top of the Sun and the Huskers, the West Shore Rebels are the only other undefeated team in the league.
Going into Saturday's contest, both the Sun and the Huskers have two of the best offences and defences so far this season. The Sun has had a two-headed monster at quarterback so far as Liam Kroeger and 17-year-old rookie Marek Filipek have both played well splitting time at the position. So far, the running game has been the stronger part of the Sun's offence as running back Elelyon Noa has run for 236 yards and six touchdowns on 34 carries.
Meanwhile, in Chilliwack's one game this season, quarterback Tyran Duval went 21/30 throwing for five touchdowns, four of them to wide receiver Steven Koniuck.
Kick-off on Saturday is at 7 p.m. at Exhibition Stadium in Chilliwack. The game is available to watch on BCFCTV.com, Telus channel 1981, or a watch party is being held at Pretty Not Bad on Clement Avenue.
