Massive weekend ahead as West Kelowna Warriors battle for 1st in the Interior

The Warriors need to win on Friday night to still have a chance at first place in the Interior

With five games to go in the regular season, there is still a chance for the West Kelowna Warriors to clinch first place in the BCHL香蕉视频直播檚 Interior Conference.

Going into the weekend, the Warriors sit in second place with a record of 28-10-9-0 (65 points). They are eight points behind the first-place Penticton Vees, who are 34-7-3-2.

This means Friday night香蕉视频直播檚 contest is massive for the battle for first place as the Warriors welcome the Vees to Royal LePage Place. Puck drop is at 7 p.m. If the Warriors win, they still have a chance at clinching first place. If Penticton wins, they clinch the Interior Conference.

So far this season, the Warriors are winning the season series as they are 2-1-1 against Penticton.

On Saturday night, West Kelowna remains at home as they welcome the eighth-place Prince George Spruce Kings (14-29-3-0) to town. Puck drop on Mar. 9 is also at 7 p.m. The Warriors are 3-1-1 against the Spruce Kings this season.

Going into the weekend, Warriors forward Felix Caron is second in the league in goals (28) and third in points (59).

The team is coming off a 6-5 overtime loss against Trail and a 4-2 win against Vernon last weekend (Mar. 1 and 2).
