UPDATE: Tuesday, March 4, 11:10 a.m.:
Vernon North Okanagan RCMP say the fire Tuesday morning involves the vehicle suspected of being used in a break-in earlier in the morning at a business in the 3400 block of 32nd Avenue.
Investigators are working to determine the circumstances surrounding both of these incidents and are reviewing surveillance footage from the areas.
Police are also asking businesses and residences in these areas to check their video surveillance for any relevant footage. Anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity or with information that may assist the investigation is asked to contact the Vernon North Okanagan RCMP at (250) 545-7171.
UPDATE: Tuesday, March 4, 10:25 a.m.:
Vernon Fire Rescue Services were dispatched to a report of a vehicle fire in the 1900 block of 33rd Street just after 7 a.m.
Upon arrival, crews found the vehicle fully involved.
The fire was extinguished, and the scene was turned over to the Vernon North Okanagan RCMP.
There are no reported injuries at this time.

The shell is all that remains of a grey mini-van discovered on fire at a Vernon grocery store Tuesday morning, March 4.
Vernon Fire Rescue Services put out the burning vehicle discovered in the parking lot of the Village Market on 19th Avenue in Mission Hill before 8 a.m.
A Vernon North Okanagan RCMP cruiser remained on-scene after the fire was extinguished, and yellow police tape surrounds the vehicle.
