The public is invited to give their thoughts on the updated design for the Mission Creek Regional Park playground.
Regional District Central Okanagan (RDCO) has unveiled plans for new playground equipment and a design that ensures an inclusive and accessible play space for users aged two to 12 of all abilities. The original wood structure was installed in 1997 and is ready for replacement.

The new design came from more than 228 survey responses and community feedback about the initial design. Top priorities included rubber surfacing and more accessible play elements for a range of ages.
"Mission Creek playground is a hub for children throughout the region to come together to play, and RDCO is making changes to this space to create a more inclusive and accessible environment for all abilities," said Melissa Grassmick, community advocate and founder of Julia香蕉视频直播檚 Junction Inclusive Play Space in West Kelowna.
Residents can view the updated design, including an interactive rendering, and share their thoughts online at yoursay.rdco.com until March 13 at 4 p.m. An in-person community open house is being held on Tuesday, March 11 from 4 to 7 p.m. in the EECO classroom at 2363A Springfield Road in Mission Creek Regional Park.
The estimated cost for the playground is $320,000 and is part of the RDCO capital projects budget for maintaining and enhancing regional parks throughout the Central Okanagan.
