New flight path landing at Kelowna International Airport

Public information sessions will be held in November about a new flight path for aircraft arriving at Kelowna International Airport (YLW).

The new approach is scheduled to begin operation in Jan. 2024, from the south on runway 34, and will help minimize disruption to service during low visibility weather conditions.

Residents are invited to attend information sessions hosted by YLW and NAV CANADA to learn more. about this additional approach.

The sessions are a drop-in format with opportunities to speak with staff and ask questions:

Ï㽶ÊÓƵֱ²¥¢Wed. Nov. 1 - 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. - Okanagan Mission Community Hall (4409 Lakeshore Rd, Kelowna);

Ï㽶ÊÓƵֱ²¥¢Thur. Nov. 2 - 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. - Rutland Centennial Hall (215 Shepherd Road).

Airport staff and NAV CANADA representatives will also be at the YLW Fall Travel Show to share information about the new approach:
