With Canada Post service resuming, municipal bills and invoices delayed during the postal strike may start arriving from the City of West Kelowna. 

Similarly, mail sent to the city may have been delayed. The city is offering advice on checking and paying utility bills and property tax balances before Dec. 31 to avoid penalties.

Residents can check their balances on the . Any unpaid utility bills after Dec. 31 will be added to the 2025 property tax notice, along with late fees and interest. Property tax balances not paid by Jan. 1 will incur interest at a rate of 8.45 per cent yearly, calculated daily.

Amounts owing can be paid through financial institutions by selecting West Kelowna-Utilities as the payee. To set up a payment for the first time, also select West Kelowna-Utilities and provide the account number from the utility bill.

Residents can also pay at city hall, 3731 Old Okanagan Highway, with cash, cheque, or debit card. City offices will close at 3 p.m. on Dec. 24 and reopen at 8:30 a.m. on Jan. 2.

E-billing services, to receive future utility bills and property tax notices by email, is also available. Sign up through the . The city does not accept direct credit card payments, however, residents can use third-party providers such as Plastiq or PaySimply. Information is available on the .
