Despite an Andrew Cristall hat-trick, the Kelowna Rockets winning streak came to an end as the Spokane Chiefs kept spinning the Roulette wheel.
The Rockets quickly found themselves down 3-0 in the first period, which included two goals from forward Conner Roulette. Kelowna got back within one when Ty Hurley scored his first of the season to make it 3-1 after the first.
A wild second period featured six goals, including Cristall香蕉视频直播檚 hat-trick. His third goal came in the final second of the second period to tie the game 5-5. They were his ninth, 10th, and 11th goals of the season.
Marek Rocak also scored his second goal of the year in the period.
Ty Cheveldayoff and Berkly Catton scored Spokane香蕉视频直播檚 second period goals, who were both assisted by Roulette.
The third period was also dominated by Spokane as Roulette completed the hat-trick and added his fourth goal of the game to make it 7-5 and complete a six-point night. They would also add another goal late courtesy of Layton Feist to complete the 8-5 win.
Jari Kykkanen made 18 saves on 21 shots while Jake Pilon made five saves on eight shots in the loss.
With his three second-period goals, Cristall now leads the WHL in points with 29.
Despite the loss, the Rockets remain second in the B.C. Division and third in the WHL香蕉视频直播檚 Western Conference (7-5-1). They are back in action on Saturday night as they take on the Wild in Wenatchee. Puck drop is at 6 p.m.
