A Scotch Creek man who skipped out on his trial in Penticton for the second time was arrested in Kamloops on March 3 during an investigation into a suspicious vehicle. 

Matthew Duewan Gilmore, 42, of Scotch Creek, was arrested on outstanding warrants for arrest, including the charge of failing to appear in court having previously appeared for his skipped trial on Feb. 5. 

He had previously skipped out on a trial in violation of a release order in April of 2024, which resulted in a warrant that led to his arrest.

Tk香蕉视频直播檈ml煤ps Rural RCMP received a report of a suspicious truck at an address on the 1200 block of Kootenay Way on March 3 just before 1 p.m. 

香蕉视频直播淒uring the investigation, officers discovered the vehicle, an older model Ford 350 pickup truck, was one of two that had been recently stolen out of Chase,香蕉视频直播� said Cpl. Crystal Evelyn with Tk香蕉视频直播檈ml煤ps Rural RCMP. 香蕉视频直播淭wo men on the property were detained, one of which apparently provided a false name and soon after attempted to flee from police. He was quickly taken back into custody, following a brief foot pursuit.香蕉视频直播�

The police press release did not indicate whether Gilmore was the individual who had attempted to flee police and provided a false name. 

Now in custody, Gilmore is scheduled to return to court to face the charges of failing to appear in court, assaulting a police officer with a weapon, obstruction of a police officer, flight from police, dangerous operation of a vehicle, and possession of stolen property. 

According to court records, Gilmore was issued a conditional sentence order on Aug. 2, 2024, in Kelowna after being found guilty of printing fake money.
