A bear was capture on video running up Glenmore Road in Kelowna on Sept. 12, 2024.

This bear must have been on a mission.

Dawn Reiner posted to Facebook a video of a bear running down Glenmore Road in Kelowna around midnight on Sept. 12.

The furry creature was caught running along the sidewalk in the direction of Kane Road.

While it's not uncommon to see bears in the Okanagan, it is unusual to see one in a more urban space.

Tourism Kelowna warns people that bears can be found along hiking trails and in the back country.

If you encounter a bear make lots of noise and leave the creature alone.
