West Kelowna Warriors, Vernon Vipers forwards earn weekly honour

The second and third place teams in the Interior face off in West Kelowna on Wednesday night

West Kelowna WarriorsÏ㽶ÊÓƵֱ²¥™ forward Jackson Kyrkostas is the BCHLÏ㽶ÊÓƵֱ²¥™s third star of the week.

The 2004-born forward had a huge night on Saturday, Oct. 14, against the Merritt Centennials when he recorded his first career hat trick and added an assist in the teamÏ㽶ÊÓƵֱ²¥™s 6-4 win.

After his big game, Kyrkostas has four goals and seven points in eight games this season.

Victoria Grizzlies goaltender Oliver Aeuyung-Ashton and Vernon Vipers forward Luke Pakulak were named first and second stars of the week. Pakulak collected give points (two goals, three assists) in two games over the weekend.

Kyrkostas and the Warriors are back in action on Wednesday, Oct. 18, in a massive rivalry game as they take on Pakulak and the Vipers. The 6-2-0-0 Warriors welcome the 6-1-0-0 Vipers to Royal LePage Place. These two teams sit second and third in the Interior Conference. Puck drop is at 7 p.m.
