The West Kelowna Warriors bounced back from a loss against the Cranbrook Bucks and finished 2024 with a win over the Brooks Bandits.

Warriors vs. Bucks - Friday Dec. 27

The Bucks opened the scoring in the first period and held on to a 1-0 lead until the Warriors Luciano Bruno (4) tied the game 1-1 early in the second frame. Cranbrook regained a 2-1 lead on Kaslo Ferner香蕉视频直播檚 (14) second goal of the night with 2:30 left in the period. 

The Bucks extended their lead to 3-1, on the powerplay, early in the third period. West Kelowna香蕉视频直播檚 Simon Houge (3) made it 3-2 with under four minutes left in the period. Cranbrook ended the Warriors comeback effort on a goal by Sammy Hynes (4) about 90 seconds before the end of the third for the 4-2 win.   

West Kelowna outshot the Bucks 36-33 and went 0-3 on the powerplay.

Warriors vs. Bandits - Saturday Dec. 28

It took just 28 seconds for Sam LeDrew (12) to light the lamp, giving the Warriors a 1-0 first period lead. They made it 2-0 nine minutes later as Elias Callgren notched his third goal of the season. The Bandits pushed back late in the frame, cutting the lead to 2-1.

West Kelowna香蕉视频直播檚 Dylan Krayer (10) struck in the second period, restore the two-goal cushion. In the third, Luciano Bruno (5) delivered the insurance goal, putting the Warriors up 4-1 midway through the frame.

Despite a tremendous comeback attempt by the Bandits, which included two goals in 15 seconds during the last five minutes of the thid, the Warriors held on for the 4-3 win.

Making his BC Hockey League debut, Slovene goaltender Bor Glavi膷 was a standout between the pipes for the Warriors. He turned aside 29 of 32 shots. His highlight of the night came in the third period when he made stopped a 3-on-1 opportunity, sprawling on his stomach and making a pad save. 

The Warriors start 2025 on the road with a visit to Kal Tire Place on Friday, Jan. 3 for a matchup against the Vernon Vipers. They香蕉视频直播檒l return home the following night to begin a five-game home stand, starting with a showdown against the Spruce Grove Saints.
