West Kelowna Warriors sign California forward

Ian Alonso is the newest West Kelowna Warrior, signing for the rest of the BCHL season on Saturday, Nov. 16.

The West Kelowna Warriors have added another centre to their roster.

On Saturday afternoon (Nov. 16), the team announced they have signed centreman Ian Alonso.

The Huntington Beach, California native spend the last two seasons with the Shattuck St. Mary's U18 AAA team in the North American Prep Hockey League, where he scored 60 goals and added 98 assists in 107 games. He has also played 19 games in the AJHL with the Camrose Kodiaks, collecting 21 points in 19 games.

Alonso will make his BCHL debut on Saturday night as the Warriors welcome the Okotoks Oilers to town. Puck drop is at 7 p.m. at Royal LePage Place.
