West Kelowna Warriors goaltender Dawson Labre is being recognized for his outstanding play from the week of Nov. 3-10.
Labre has been named the BCHL's second star of the week, after stopping 47 of 48 shots over two games and earning his first career BCHL shutout. He blanked the Penticton Vees 3-0 on Nov. 5 and made another 18 saves in the Warriors first ever game against the Blackfalds Bulldogs on Nov. 9.
On the season, Labre is 5-5-3 record with a 2.89 goals-against average.
The Warriors are back in action on Friday, Nov. 15 in Trail, against the Smoke Eaters. The team is back at Royal LePage Place on Saturday, Nov. 16 when the Okotoks Oilers come to town for the first time. It is also the annual Kettle Kick-off game, presented by the Salvation Army. Puck drop is at 7 p.m.
