West Kelowna Warriors defenceman to represent Norway at U20 World Championships

Philip Monnich-Hagen collected his first career BCHL assist in his second career game on Saturday, Nov. 9.

A West Kelowna Warriors defenceman is off to represent his country at the IIHF U20 World Hockey Championships in Slovenia.

On Monday, Dec. 3, Philip Monnich Hagen was selected to play for Team Norway at the tournament. 

In eight games with the Warriors this season, the 19-year-old has one assist in 19 games. 

Hagen has represented his country before, including at the 2022-23 World Junior Hockey Championships, where he scored one goal in six games. 

The IIHF U20 World Hockey Championships in Slovenia take place from Dec. 9-15.
