The West Kelowna Warriors got back in the win column on Tuesday night (Nov. 5) after beating their southern Highway 97 rivals, the Penticton Vees 3-0.
After a scoreless first period, the Warriors got second period goals from Jackson Kyrkostas and Callum Hughes to make it 2-0.
It remained that score until the 17:24 mark of the third when Dylan Krayer scored his seventh of the season into the empty net to make it 3-0.
Warriors goaltender Dawson Labre made 29 saves, including 15 of them in the third period alone, to secure the win.
Penticton's Will Ingemann made 28 saves in the loss.
With the win, the Warriors are 4-8-2-1 while Penticton is 11-4-0-0.
The Warriors head to Alberta this upcoming weekend to take on the Blackfalds Bulldogs on Friday, Nov. 5 and the Okotoks Oilers on Saturday.
Meanwhile, the Vees are in Salmon Arm to take on the Silverbacks on Saturday and welcome the Trail Smoke Eaters to the South Okanagan Events Centre for a 2 p.m. puck drop on Remembrance Day.
