Vernon香蕉视频直播檚 Curling Club is trading its ice for halfpipes.
The club will be a temporary indoor skate park for the summer, beginning on Monday, April 8.
While full features won香蕉视频直播檛 be available until June 8, the elements of the entry level park are designed for all skaters.
香蕉视频直播淭he skate park fills a need in the community for a space to learn the sport,香蕉视频直播 said Shayne Wright, manager of community recreation. 香蕉视频直播淚t香蕉视频直播檚 driven by the community, and thanks to the support of the Vernon Association for Skateboard Enthusiasts (VASE) specifically, it has become a place to learn and have fun.香蕉视频直播
Vernon Recreation Services will also be offering skateboarding lessons as a registered program this spring and summer for youth and adults.
Operating hours will be Monday-Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. (excluding holidays). Beginner hour, for those just learning to skate, is reserved from 5 to 6 p.m., with the more advanced skaters encouraged to drop in after 6 p.m.
must be signed for those skaters wanting to use the park. They can stop by the recreation services desk to do so. Those under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian sign the waiver. Once registered, a skater will receive a Skateboard Access Pass free of charge that they will show to the park supervisor each time they attend.
