United sends 11 teams to provincials

Kelowna rep soccer teams fare well in Thompson Okanagan Youth Soccer League playoffs

The Kelowna United U18 boys won the TOYSL playoff title Sunday in Penticton.

Kelowna's rep soccer program will be well represented next month at the Provincial B Cup in both boys and girls competition.

Eleven Kelowna United teams have qualified for their respective provincial championships in West Vancouver (boys) and Penticton (girls).

United teams earned spots at the B Cup thanks to their performances last weekend at the Thompson Okanagan Youth Soccer League finals in Penticton.

Kelowna teams advancing, with coaches listed, are:

U13 boysÏ㽶ÊÓƵֱ²¥”Jason Neale

U14 boysÏ㽶ÊÓƵֱ²¥”Cam West

U16 boysÏ㽶ÊÓƵֱ²¥”Dan Turner

U17 boysÏ㽶ÊÓƵֱ²¥”David Lommer

U18 boysÏ㽶ÊÓƵֱ²¥”Yann Calmets

U13 girlsÏ㽶ÊÓƵֱ²¥”Jill Lommer and Hank van de Leest

U14 girlsÏ㽶ÊÓƵֱ²¥”Mike Smith

U15 girlsÏ㽶ÊÓƵֱ²¥”Tom Crawford

U16 girlsÏ㽶ÊÓƵֱ²¥”Chris Vandemark

U18 girlsÏ㽶ÊÓƵֱ²¥”Mark Slade

The Provincial B Cup boys finals will be held July 7 to 10 in West Vancouver, while the girls playdowns will be held the same weekend in Penticton.
