Vernon香蕉视频直播檚 Kal Tire Place is back to operating as business as usual.
However, the 10-day long closure of the rink (prompted by an ammonia alarm on Saturday, March 9) led to a $22,000 price tag.
At the upcoming March 25 council meeting, administration will provide an update to the total cost of the shutdown. It outlined the following:
- Labour costs (including ice removal and installation) - $11,000
- Contractor costs - $4,000
- Material and miscellaneous costs- $2,700
According to a report, Recreation Services was able to accommodate over 90 per cent of users, through the ice of the Kal Tire Place North and Priest Valley Arena rinks.
The total lost revenue for rentals was approximated to $4,000, which includes an approximate $1,000 of lost concession monies.
The ammonia alarm that ran on March 9 led to findings of a small leak in the ice chiller. It was originally estimated that repairs would take one to two days, but the delays were prolonged as the ice rink had to be completely thawed and rebuilt.
