The final whistle has been blown on the Okanagan SunÏ㽶ÊÓƵֱ²¥™s season.
As they battled all season long, finishing with an 8-1 regular season, the team fell in the British Columbia Football Conference finals 33-19 to the Westshore Rebels on Saturday night (Oct. 28).
The Sun came out with a strong first half, leading 12-4 but the Rebels exploded for 29 points in the third quarter to take a 33-12 lead. Okanagan scored a touchdown in the fourth quarter but thatÏ㽶ÊÓƵֱ²¥™s all they would get as they tried to mount a comeback.
Westshore wins the Cullen Cup (BCFC title) and will host the Canadian Cup on Saturday, Nov. 11.
