Kelowna to host figure skating sectionals

More the 200 skaters from 28 clubs will be at CNC for BC-Yukon Sectional Skating Championships.

National medalist Olivia Gran will be one of 20 Kelowna Skating Club members competing this week in the B.C.-Yukon Sectionals at CNC.

More the 200 skaters from 28 clubs will converge on 碍别濒辞飞苍补香蕉视频直播檚 Capital News Centre from Thursday through Sunday for the annual BC-Yukon Sectional Skating Championships.

The host Kelowna Skating Club will be well represented with 20 skaters, led by 2016 Canadian novice 飞辞尘别苍香蕉视频直播檚 runner-up Olivia Gran, who was also second as a junior in 厂别辫迟别尘产别谤香蕉视频直播檚 Autumn Classic.

Also skating for Kelowna will be McKenna Colthorp, who placed fourth in the Autumn Classic junior division.

Reigning national junior champion Sarah Tamura, from Champs International Skating Club in Burnaby, will also be competing.

The top four finishers in pre-novice through senior singles, dance and pairs will earn a trip to the Skate Canada Challenge, Nov. 30 to Dec. 4 in Montreal.

The top finishers from the Challenge will go on to the Skate Canada national championships.
