The Kelowna Rockets are heading south in spend American Thanksgiving in Portland.
Coming off a tough 4-3 overtime loss last Sunday, the Rockets are down in Portland to take on the Winterhawks on Wednesday, Nov. 27 and Friday, Nov. 29.
Puck drop is at 7 p.m. on Wednesday and 1 p.m. on Friday due to the American holidays.
Going into Wednesday night's contest, the Rockets sit 10th in the Western Conference with a record of 9-9-2-1. The Winterhawks are 12-8-2-0, sixth in the West.
However, in their only match-up of the year so far back on Oct. 11, the Rockets beat Portland 9-4 in Andrew Cristall's first game of the season.
Despite the records, Kelowna has a better goal differential (+9) than Portland (-4).
Kelowna is 5-3-2-0 in their last 10 while Portland is 6-4-0-0.
