The Kelowna Chiefs' three-game winning streak ended with a close 4-3 loss to the Columbia Valley Rockies at Rutland Arena on Saturday (Nov. 30).
The game was a back-and-forth battle. The Chiefs got goals from Matt Fraser (4), Matt Saretsky (6), and Luke Rishaug (9, who added two assists on the night. Carter Velker scored the game-winner for the Rockies at 1:59 of the third period.
Kelowna was outshot 39-33 and went 0-5 on the power play. Before SaturdayÏ㽶ÊÓƵֱ²¥™s loss, the Chiefs had picked up wins against Osoyoos, Princeton, and Fernie, starting on Nov. 16.
With the loss, Kelowna is tied for last place in the Bill Ohlhausen Division with Osoyoos at 20 points. The Chiefs hold a 9-9-0-2 record.
Their next game is Tuesday (Dec. 3) when they travel to Princeton to face the Posse.
