Kelowna Rockets forward Andrew Cristall and defenceman Caden Price have been invited to CanadaÏ㽶ÊÓƵֱ²¥™s selection camp for the 2025 World Junior Hockey Championship in Ottawa.
Cristall has been on a hot streak, scoring a hat trick and adding two assists in KelownaÏ㽶ÊÓƵֱ²¥™s 9-1 win over the Regina Pats on Saturday (Nov. 30). He was named the Tempo WHL Player of the Week for the week ending Nov. 24, leading all WHL players with nine points (3G-6A) in three games. Price, a steady presence on the blue line, has 31 points (6G-25A) in 23 games this season.
The Rockets will also be represented on the international stage by forward Jakub Stancl and defenceman Marek Rocak, who have been invited to CzechiaÏ㽶ÊÓƵֱ²¥™s camp for the World Juniors. Stancl has 30 points (10G-20A) in 23 games, while Rocak has contributed 16 points (1G-15A) in 24 games.
At the tournament, Canada will play in Group A alongside Finland, Germany, the United States, and Latvia. Group B includes Czechia, Slovakia, Sweden, Switzerland, and Kazakhstan.
The U.S. is the defending champion, winning the 2024 tournament with a 6-2 win over host Sweden in the gold medal game.
The 2025 World Junior Championship begins on Dec. 26, with the gold medal game set for Jan. 5.
