The Warriors fell to the Prince George Spruce Kings Sunday afternoon in BCHL action.

The West Kelowna Warriors felt the wrath of their ex-teammates on Sunday afternoon.

Defenceman Tyler Anderson scored twice and forward Brett Mennear added a goal and an assist to lead the Prince George Spruce Kings to a 6-1 victory over the Warriors at Royal LePage Place.

With several key players injured the Warriors were playing with a short bench.

Anderson and Mennear were key pieces of the Warriors' run to the BCHL and RBC Cup titles last season.

The Warriors dealt Mennear to Prince George during the off-season, while Anderson was traded to the Kings six games into the 2016-17 season.

Blake Coffey scored the lone goal for the Warriors (9-10-1), whose four-game winning streak came to an end.

On Saturday night at LePage, the Warriors defeated Trail 5-3.

The Warriors will visit the Smoke Eaters on Thursday night.
