Vancouver breaker Philip Ï㽶ÊÓƵֱ²¥˜WizardÏ㽶ÊÓƵֱ²¥™ Kim has won the first-ever gold medal for breaking in the Olympics.
Kim, also known as B-Boy Phil Wizard, took home the gold medal after battling FranceÏ㽶ÊÓƵֱ²¥™s Danis Ï㽶ÊÓƵֱ²¥˜Dany DannÏ㽶ÊÓƵֱ²¥™ Civil in the final at the Paris Games on Saturday (Aug. 10). He won all three rounds.
Kim also beat Civil 2-0 in their first bout of the group stage.
The 27-year-old beat out JapanÏ㽶ÊÓƵֱ²¥™s Shigeyuki Ï㽶ÊÓƵֱ²¥˜ShigekixÏ㽶ÊÓƵֱ²¥™ Nakarai in the semifinals, scoring 3-0.
Victor Montalvo, of the United States, took home bronze.
Breaking, or break dancing, debuted at the 2024 Summer Games. However, itÏ㽶ÊÓƵֱ²¥™s not on the list of events for the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles.
