To the editor:
Last year's massive milfoil bloom in Okanagan Lake was a real wake up call for everyone who enjoys time on and about our pristine lake.
Fortunately, the Okanagan Waster Basin Board recognized this could quickly become a very serious and costly problem negatively affecting both tourists and locals. Thankfully, the KLO Neighbourhood Association has noticed a substantial increase in their rototilling and weed cutting efforts over the past few months.
We believe that everyone using the lake this year will be pleased to find our beaches and shorelines much cleaner.
We would like to thank the management for meeting with our executive and membership to work toward the progressive outcome that has resulted. Let's now hope that the snow pack melts gradually to deliver us a fantastic season on the lake.
