Suspect in Kelowna armed robbery sought

Police find what they say was the getaway vehicle after the early morning robbery.

The Kelowna RCMP have released images of an female suspect accused of committing an early morning armed robbery Thursday in the city.

On July 6 at 6:11 a.m., policed say they responded to a report of an armed robbery just committed at the Skogies Petro Canada gas station and convenience store located at 1830 Underhill Road in Kelowna. While responding, police were told the female suspect had fled in an older model red and blue pickup truck with a bicycle in the back.

香蕉视频直播淲ithin minutes of the robbery, an officer with the Kelowna RCMP municipal traffic section located the vehicle abandoned, and the bike was missing, near the intersection of Springfield Road and Benvoilin Road,香蕉视频直播 said Cpl. Police have learned the woman entered the store, brandished what appeared to be a knife and a metal bar to the lone employee and demanded cigarettes and cash. The suspect fled the store with an undisclosed amount of money and tobacco products. The employee was not physically injured during the incident.

香蕉视频直播淔urther investigation has revealed that the pickup truck, allegedly used by the suspect in the armed robbery, had been reported as stolen to police, taken sometime overnight from the 1400 block of Richter Street. The vehicle has been seized and remains part of the ongoing investigation,香蕉视频直播 adds Cpl. O香蕉视频直播橠onaghey.

The suspect is described as a white woman, in her 30s, approximately five-feet, five-inches tall, slim build, with shoulder length brown hair. She was seen wearing a red plaid jacket, white and blue baseball cap, blue jeans and black shoes with pink laces.
