Social entrepreneur Craig Kielburger to visit Kelowna

Craig Kielburger is coming to Kelowna in the fall of this year.

One person can make a difference.

It香蕉视频直播檚 a simple message that Craig Kielburger, co-founder of the WE organization, delivers to youth and adults all over the world, and on September 16, Kielburger will be delivering that message to Kelowna.

Kielburger will share his story of how he launched a small charity in Thornhill, ON, when he was 12 years old, which today 香蕉视频直播 more than 20 years later 香蕉视频直播 is a movement of millions across the globe. As part of the City of Kelowna香蕉视频直播檚 Canada 150 celebrations, the hour-long motivational speech will focus on the importance of being a socially responsible citizen, and empowering youth to make a difference both locally and globally.

香蕉视频直播淎s we celebrate 150 years since Confederation, we look to the past as a learning experience, and to the future to aspire to be better. WE is Canada香蕉视频直播檚 largest youth service organization, and we香蕉视频直播檙e betting on the selfless idealism of a new generation. We want to ensure that every Canadian child serves their local and global communities,香蕉视频直播 said Kielburger.

Kielburger has shared the stage with such influential people as His Royal Highness Prince Harry, Malala Yousafzai, and Richard Branson. His words encourage millions of people to overcome daily challenges, effect change, and uncover personal strength.

This free family event is hosted by KPMG LLP in collaboration with the City of Kelowna.
