As snow continues to fall across the South Okanagan, DriveBC is warning of slippery sections on the region's roads.

The provincial road service said drivers should watch for the winter conditions on Highway 97, between Summerland and Okanagan Falls, and on Highway 3A, between the Kaleden Junction to Green Mountain Road.

Environment Canada, meanwhile, is calling for rain or flurries through the morning in Penticton and Summerland.

Periods of rain or snow and temperatures hovering around 8 C are in the forecast for Sunday, March 16, as the official start of spring inches closer.

Precipitation, along with temperatures around 0 C, are expected for the next two nights, according to Environment Canada.
