A reported theft from a 10th Avenue SW led to the arrest of a 41-year-old man known to police.
At 5 p.m. on March 3, a store employee reported to Salmon Arm RCMP that a man had just taken items from the business and "fled on foot without paying for anything." With a description of the suspect's clothing, police located the man standing in a nearby parking lot.
"The man was arrested for theft, and the stolen items were located on him and seized," said media relations officer Const. Andrew Hodges in a media release. "The man was released with a future court date to speak to the allegations."
