Kelowna RCMP move in on stolen vehicle

Two local residents arrested in Glenmore parking lot after stolen truck is detected and pursued by police.

The allegedly stolen white Mazda pickup truck recovered Friday afternoon by Kelowna Mounties in Glenmore.

A stolen vehicle spotted in a Glenmore area parking lot by Kelowna RCMP on Friday afternoon led to the dramatic arrest of two people, a man and a woman.

Shortly after 10 a.m. this morning,  Kelowna RCMP received a report of a suspicious set of circumstances involving a man and a woman associated to a white Mazda pickup truck in the 1900 block of Bernard Avenue.

Police were told the vehicle was last seen leaving the area of Spall Road and Bernard Avenue.

A subsequent query of the vehicle's licence plate, along with the vehicles description provided, revealed that the vehicle had been reported stolen Sunday, Oct.2, from Ethel Street in Kelowna.

香蕉视频直播淩CMP officers flooded the area and quickly spotted the alleged stolen vehicle in a parking lot in the area of Kane Road and Glenmore Road,香蕉视频直播 said Cst. Jesse O香蕉视频直播橠onaghey in a press release.

香蕉视频直播淏oth occupants of the vehicle, a man and a woman, followed the directions of our officers at the scene. The duo were taken into police custody in a safe manner and without incident ."

The two suspects, a 47-year-old Kelowna man and a 44-year-old Kelowna woman, each of no fixed address, remain in police custody as they face potential charges.
