Help the local pollinators by planting native plants this Saturday.

The Public Art Pollinator Pasture Meadow Building and Stewardship Event on April 8, from 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. dozens of volunteers are helping to plant hundreds of native plants on the pollinator pasture.

These plants also came from a significant donation from the Okanagan Collaborative Conservation Program, EcoAction, Habitat Conservation Trust Foundation, Seeds Co Community Conservation and Okanagan Similkameen Stewardship Society with funding from Environment and Climate Change Canada.

Throughout the morning we香蕉视频直播檒l have talks on the challenges of meadow-building and stewardship of natural places in the Okanagan.

This is a project of Border Free Bees, a province-wide research project led by UBC Okanagan professor Nancy Holmes and Emily Carr University of Art + Design professor Dr. Cameron Cartiere. The pasture is supported by BFB and the City of Kelowna, with funding from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada.

The Pasture is located at the Brent香蕉视频直播檚 Grist Mill Heritage park site at the corner of Dilworth Drive and Leckie Road.
