A Mountie applied his training and saved the life of a German tourist this week.

A pedestrian was struck by a motorcycle on Highway 97 near the intersection of Butt Road in West Kelowna May 21, at 1:30 p.m.

Mounties determined that a pedestrian had attempted to cross the busy multi lane highway, approximately 100 meters away from the controlled intersection, when he was struck by a northbound Harley Davidson motorcycle.

香蕉视频直播淭he pedestrian, a 68-year-old man visiting from Germany, who sustained serious bodily injuries, was suffering from severe blood loss as a result of a large bleed,香蕉视频直播� said Cpl. Jesse O香蕉视频直播橠onaghey, in a press release.

He was being provided first aid treatment from bystanders until emergency crews could arrive on scene.

The motorcyclist, a 29-year-old Kelowna man, was assessed and treated for minor injuries by emergency paramedics at the scene.

Efforts remain underway, as RCMP continue to work with the German Consulate in Toronto and the German National Police to locate the man香蕉视频直播檚 next of kin in Germany.
