The West Kelowna Warriors are looking to get back in the win column as they continue to chase the top spot in the BCHLÏ㽶ÊÓƵֱ²¥™s Interior Conference.
Entering the final month of the regular season, the Warriors have just nine games to go. With a record of 27-10-8-0, they are second in the conference, seven points behind the Penticton Vees.
On Friday night, the Warriors host the Trail Smoke Eaters, who are fifth in the conference with a record of 21-17-6-0. In their last matchup on Feb. 10, Trail won 6-4.
Puck drop on Mar. 1 is at 7 p.m.
The following night, the Warriors will travel up Highway 97 to take on the Vernon Vipers (26-17-1-0). West Kelowna has dominated the season series, as they are 3-0-1-0 against Vernon.
Saturday nightÏ㽶ÊÓƵֱ²¥™s puck drop at the Kal Tire Centre is also at 7 p.m.
Going into the weekend, WarriorsÏ㽶ÊÓƵֱ²¥™ forward Felix Caron is second in the BCHL with 27 goals and fourth in points with 56.
However, they will be without forward Michael Salandra for the rest of the regular season. He suffered an injury in the win over Surrey.
The Warriors are coming off of a 5-3 win over Surrey and a 3-2 overtime loss against Coquitlam.
