The cross-country skiing season is underway at Kelowna香蕉视频直播檚 Telemark Nordic Ski Club despite unseasonably warm temperatures.

Mike Edwards, general manager at the club said that the skiing is safe with a 10 cm base. The club opened on Dec. 16. Last year the club opened on Nov. 12, which allowed for the club to have its longest season in 30 years.

Normally Edwards would like to have the trails groomed daily but he香蕉视频直播檒l have to wait for more snow before that can happen. This isn香蕉视频直播檛 the first time the club has had to exercise patience as it awaited snow. In 2018, the club didn香蕉视频直播檛 open until Dec. 26. Edwards said you 香蕉视频直播渁lways have to be positive.香蕉视频直播�

As the competitive season approaches, positivity and snow are in anticipation. The opening on Saturday featured a ski with Santa. The club will be hosting more events and competitions such as the Teck BC Track Attack Championships Feb 24-25 2024.
