It's been a tough start for the Kelowna Rockets.
After losses to the Victoria Royals and Everett Silvertips over the weekend, the Rockets are now 0-3 on the year.
On Friday, Sept. 27, the Rockets fell on home ice, 2-1 to Victoria. Michael Cicek scored the team's lone goal in the third period while Jari Kykkanen made 23 saves in the loss.
After a day off, the team played south of the border for the first time this season, but were doubled up by Everett, 6-3.
It was another slow start for Kelowna as Everett scored just 31 seconds into the game. The Silvertips had 22 shots in the first period alone, and were up 3-0 after scoring just 27 seconds into the second period as well.
Brett Calhoon scored his first goal of the campaign for the Rockets while Cicek and Ethan Mittelsteadt each scored their second of the year.
It was a busy night for Kykkanen in the loss as he made 47 saves.
The Rockets are back in action on Wednesday night, as they take on the Prince George Cougars are Prospera Place. Puck drop is at 7:05 p.m.
