Kelowna Rockets down 2-0 in playoff series against Prince George

The Kelowna Rockets were shut out for the second game in a row in their Western semi-final playoff series against the Prince George Cougars.

After losing 4-0 on Friday night (April 12) the Rockets fell 5-0 to Prince George on Saturday night, giving the Cougars a 2-0 series lead.

The power play did not click for either team during SaturdayÏ㽶ÊÓƵֱ²¥™s game as Kelowna failed to score in four changes, and the Cougars missed out on six opportunities.

Prince George did get a short-handed goal from Viliam Kmec (3) at 3:358 of the first period.

The Cougars outshot Kelowna 44-16. Rockets goaltender Jari Kykkanen faced 33 shots in game one.

The series shifts to Kelowna for Games 3 and 4 at Prospera Place on Tuesday, April 16, and Wednesday, April 17.
