The West Kelowna Warriors got back in the win column on Wednesday night with a 3-2 shootout victory against the Salmon Arm Silverbacks.
As they peppered 17 shots on goal in the first period, the Warriors finally broke through when Isaiah Norlin scored a powerplay goal late in the frame to make it 1-0.
Early in the second period, JJ Montiero scored for Salmon Arm to tie the game.
The Warriors regained their lead just under four minutes later when Trent Wilson scored his fifth goal of the campaign to make it 2-1.
Halfway through the period, the Silverbacks tied the game again as Maddux Martin found the back of the net, tying the game at two.
Despite chances on both ends, the game remained tied for the rest of the game, including overtime as the two teams went to a shootout.
Norlin scored the only goal in the skills competitions to give the Warriors the 3-2 win.

Warriors goaltender Rorke Applebee made 34 saves in the win and three saves in the shootout. Salmon ArmÏ㽶ÊÓƵֱ²¥™s Eli Pulver made 36 saves in the loss.
With the win, the Warriors are third in the Interior Conference with an 11-6-2-0 record. The Silverbacks are one point behind with an 11-6-0-1 record.
The Warriors are back in action on Friday night when they welcome the Merritt Centennials to town while Salmon Arm welcomes the Surrey Eagles to town.
