Okanagan Sun head coach Travis Miller wasn't the only member of the team to receive British Columbia Football Conference (BCFC) honours on Tuesday, Oct. 15.
Of the 12 major player awards, five Sun players won seven of the awards:
Outstanding Offensive Back, Outstanding Offensive Player - Elelyon Noa;
Outstanding Defensive Back - Ahmed Borhot;
Outstanding Linebacker, Outstanding Defensive Player - Jacob Bond;
Outstanding Offensive Rookie - Marek Filipek;
Outstanding Offensive Lineman - Kaiden Kerntopf.
Noa was a dominant force across the league all season long, breaking a BCFC record with 1,612 rushing yards. He also led the league with 23 rushing touchdowns, and 25 total touchdowns.
Ahmed Borhot led the league with eight interceptions while Jacob Bond led with 60 tackles.
In his rookie season, Filipek was 97/160 (.606 per cent) for 1,316 yards with nine touchdowns and five interceptions.
The Sun play in their third straight BCFC Championship game on Saturday, Oct. 19 at the Apple Bowl against the Westshore Rebels. Kick off at 3 p.m.
