The Central and South Okanagan is again under a severe thunderstorm watch.
Put in effect by Environment Canada at 10:46 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 13, the watch covers Kelowna and runs south to Oliver. It also extends east to Midway and Grand Forks.
"Conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms that may be capable of producing strong wind gusts and heavy rain," states Environment Canada. "For the Okanagan Valley, the greatest likelihood of severe thunderstorms will be over the ridges, particularly east of the valley."
While heavy rains, thunder, and lightning take place during a storm, Environment Canada says hail is also a possibility.
