A Kelowna man remains in custody after he was caught occupying a vehicle stolen out of Vernon in July.
On Dec. 18, Kelowna RCMP's Proactive Enforcement Unit located the stolen vehicle in downtown Kelowna. With the assistance of Police Dog Services, officers located the male driver in the 900 block of Laurie Avenue.
The 36-year-old man had multiple outstanding warrants. Through the investigation police also seized a substantial amount of drugs and a loaded handgun.

The suspect is scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 8.
