Vernon will be providing information for an innovative new model to serving people who are blind, Deafblind or have low vision.

The Canadian National Institute for the Blind (CNIB) Mobile Hub is a new program delivery model where local communities are visited to deliver in-person, free programming.

The Mobile Hub was originally launched in 2023, with its aim to allow participants to receive support from the CNIB and their local community, without having to travel.

At the Vernon Public Library, from 10 a.m.- 3 p.m on Tuesday, April 16, people who are blind, Deafblind or have low vision can drop by to meet CNIB staff and learn more about the programs.

The day will encompass recreational and social activities and technology workshops.

Visit for more the full Vernon schedule.
